Regional-Initiatives-and-Alignment
ISAAS’s efforts are in harmony with the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), implemented by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. NAPDDR focuses on preventive education, awareness generation, identification, counseling, treatment, and rehabilitation of drug-dependent individuals. It emphasizes a community-based approach, involving educational institutions, NGOs, and healthcare providers to create a supportive environment for recovery.

In regions like Punjab, collaborative models have been adopted where nursing colleges and affiliated hospitals support government initiatives to expand de-addiction facilities. These partnerships aim to increase the availability of treatment centers, ensuring accessible and quality care for those battling substance abuse.
